So my friend Tanya and I are putting together a cool little project at the moment and we need YOUR help!
What we are looking for is for you to offer to do one or two small, quick illustrations for a little project that we have planned. It’s nothing major and not a huge time commitment, but could be really helpful, and hopefully fun!
So if you have a spare couple of mins to give to the AFC community, please get in touch.
May the Lord bless you,
Hey guys, just a note to say that we are currently working on a new look for the Artists for Christ blog.
We have been working on it for quite a few weeks now and it’s almost ready to go. Please do excuse us for any mess that there might be over the next few days, we will try and keep it to a minimum!
The new look should be with us by the end of the week!
May the Lord bless you,
– The Artists for Christ team
Because it’s Christmas, I thought it would be a great excuse to get a load of artists together to make a zine full of creativity based on the (very loose) theme of Christmas!
Above is an image submitted by Gospel Graffiti artists, Rhyse.
We have had some great submissions so far even including a tasty Christmas recipe!
Since writing about inspiring websites and over the last couple of days scouring sites such as Flickr and Ffffound, I have been….you guessed it SO inspired! It’s been frustrating sitting at my desk at work, because I just want to leave the office and go paint!
Because of the new year holiday I have the next few days off, so it is going to be perfect for setting some time aside for creativity, and getting my submissions ready!
I understand that over Christmas it has been a busy time, so I want to open up the zine submissions for another week or so.
Please email your submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Everything is welcome, so please, get involved!
We would just like to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to all of our blog readers.
May he be glorified this Christmas!
May the Lord bless you and your families,
– The Artists for Christ Team
At Artists for Christ we are wanting to bring the best content to our blog readers. We know that there is some great God given talent out there, and if people are interested in writing for the blog, we want to open up the opportunity for you to write guest posts.
For more information please check out our Write for AfC page.
We have had a great response to our initial call for artists to sign up to the Jonah Illustration Project, so thank you to everyone who has signed up already.
We have got a great mix of artists so far, but still have room for more, so we are going to leave the sign up page open for another week.
Whatever kind of art you do, I encourage you to sign up, this project is all about your artistic interpretation of the text, there are no right or wrong answers! This is going to be a great project to be a part of, and another step towards better exposure for Christian artists.
Please take the time to sign up on our sign up page.
Note: I’m SO sorry for the technical errors we have had today with the links, everything should be running smoothly now, and to our RSS subscribers sorry if you have received multiple notifications of this.
Finally it’s here! The first Artists for Christ online community project, and as a team we are SO excited!
The idea is that we are going to get together artists from all over the world, and together we are going to illustrate the book of Jonah. This is going to be a very exciting project to be a part of, as when it all comes together Artists for Christ are going to produce and publish it as a book for the world to see! We truly believe that this project is going to be a great opportunity for coming together as a community, getting into the word, worshipping God, networking with other creatives all over the world, and bringing more exposure to Christian artists.
We would love for you to be part of it, and for you to ask your friends and people that you know to do the same.
So for more information and to sign up please visit the project page.
Over the last few months we have been talking together as a team and praying, trying to put together a mission statement for Artists for Christ.
Some people that I have been speaking to recently have been really shocked when I have given them the bigger picture on Artists for Christ.
Artists for Christ is here to be much more than a blog, as a team we believe that God has given us BIG vision, and we have got some really fantastic projects being prepared which we hope are going to bless you and bless the people around you.
So, we have updated the About page with our new mission statement and would love for you to check it out and hopefully get more of an idea on what we are about! We are all so excited about Artists for Christ and where it is going, and would really love to hear from you if you have any comments or ideas, or just simply want to chat. You can get in touch with us through our Contact form or follow us on Twitter.
As I have said we have got some really exciting projects coming up, which we want as many people as possible getting involved in, so, if you would like to keep up to date with everything going on at Artists for Christ then please subscribe to our RSS feed.
So, I have setup an Artists for Christ Twitter profile, please do follow us for all the latest Artists for Christ news and info at www.twitter.com/Artists4Christ. I’m pretty new to Twitter (in fact, I only started using it yesterday) but already I can see how this can be a powerful tool in networking with Christian Creatives all over the world.
Artists for Christ is not an exclusive club, where only the “elite” have their work featured, we are a community and we want to know about your projects and what you are doing.
So, if you would like your creative work featured, whatever it may be, or you would like to tell the Artists for Christ community about your project, then please feel free to drop us an email at email@example.com.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
